our High Street is unused and derelict'.
'There is strife in our community'.
'I challenge all able bodied specimens,
to lift their roots and rise for duty'.
'From the oaks of Brueton,
to the towering pines of Tudor Grange'.
'Come! We need you!
Sapling! GO!
'Bring them all!'
'We must evolve, rebuild
and change our ways'.

They came by the thousand
from miles around.
From the parks, the streets and the gardens.
The beech, the birch, the maples and cedar.
They demolished,
cleared the decks and constructed.
Fibre optic networks
with instantaneous connectivity.
Hands free interaction.
Haptic screens and robotic aid.
Adaptive transport systems for all ages.
Science, technology, engineering,
art and manufacture.
Combined to create a unique, tailored,
multi sensory environment.
Some were lost, they sacrificed,
but their loss was not in vain.
A state-of-the-art, digital metropolis.
